History
The long path from an inn to the apartment and designer hotel
During the war and allied occupation, our grandparents, Theresia and Johann Egger, ran "Gasthof Pension zur Post", which they leased from the Zeller Bräu brewery. This inn was also a popular meeting place for locals and out-of-town guests.
Many legends swirl around the "Alte Post", telling of boisterous balls, a creaking veranda, occupying troops, love and also great suffering. In those days, the Post stood inside the community of Zellbergeben, but was forced to move with the advent of a new bridge over the Ziller in 1969.

- Modern for the times: the Post in 1970
It was in 1970 that Gasthof Neue Post was built, and it taken over by Hans Egger Jr. in 1979, which he and his wife, Luise, grew into what would become the Hotel Neue Post.
